Game theory. The Dilemma
Trust pays — for as long as you are trusted. Each round two teams choose simultaneously: keep their word, or take more right now.
To run a match
Two teams of two to six, one facilitator, twenty minutes. Every player needs a phone; the facilitator needs a screen everyone can see.
-
01
Open a room — the code appears at once.
-
02
Give the code to both teams. They join from their phones and take sides A and B.
-
03
Open each round from your console. The teams choose at the same time and see nothing until the round closes.
The rules
- Seventeen rounds. Each round a team picks one of two: share or steal.
- Both shared — three points each. Both stole — one each.
- One steals while the other shares — five points to the taker, none to the trusting side.
- The server keeps score. A round cannot be replayed: choices surface only after both sides have made them.
